Prepare your discus for a contest ... Ok, I admit it; It is a few months late i announce the publication of my article in the AquaMag magazine 38.

But spring was rather a busy one for me ...

Why a "combo"?

This issue of Aquamag contains two focus about me ... The article "Preparing for his discus competition" but also an interview conducted by Philippe CHEVOLEAU.

This "Words of expert" talk about my beginnings and you will discover a little more.

As we are often limited by the number of edited pages, you will find here some unpublished pictures.

 

Prepare your discus for a contest

This article may also have been called "prepare your discus to transport", or "prepare hyour discus for a meeting". Indeed, many aspects are presented so that the movement of discus goes well.

Also, admittedly, this seemed to me essential to support-help hobbyist breeders. They will not always have access to certain technical elements.

Many people are reluctant to move to present their fishs; and it is very understandable!

With this theme, I just wanted to give them some keys so that their experience become positive. This article can also be used for the next contests coming! I hope Animalia Editions planned good stock!!!

The article is divided into 4 shutters:

• Harvesting of information related to the organization of the event: What is important to know before taking part.
• The pre-competition preparation; or know and understand how we should prepare our animals.
• The discus transport and acclimatization .
• The "post contest" management or how to handle returns of Champions.

I am convinced that a good preparation is the key to success: For the discus as a living being (what seems to me essential ...), for the owner, for visitors and the organizers. This because this experience has to become and remains a good memory.

The fish must be prepared to stress that await them… (As the flashes of photographers)

For the Cognac contest 2018, amateur participants still largely answered "present". I hope those who read this article had found valuable informations.

 

The interview in "Talk of expert" section

It is with great pleasure that I lent to the game of questions and answers. In the 5 interview pages, you can find questions related to my career. But also my views about the hobby and discus competitions.

I would also like to thank here all those who have participated in doing what I am today.

My family always supported me from the beginning ... Bringing me right to left across multiple stores, wholesalers, events etc ...

Or my wife followed me for example pregnant in Germany after hours of driving (I thought she would give birth there)…

Or all professors that were of an exceptional quality ... My friends no less crazy about fish of all kinds who were (and remain) an unlimited source of emulation.

" The Griot " husband and wife… involved teachers of aquaculture and English (In-deserved retirement!)

And all these passionate professionals or amateurs who have crossed my path.

Thank you again to everyone for your trust!

The story continues and I hope to have many things to share with all of you!
